The region
La Côte is the strip of land that runs from the Jura down to Lake Geneva, between Nyon and Morges. Below, the vines and the lake; above, the pastures and forests, crowned by La Dôle, known from the whole shore by its white dome. In between, meadows, hedgerows, lime trees and chestnuts: this is where the bees forage.
Our hives are on the Morges side, at the eastern end of La Côte. The name we put on the jar is the name of this country: La Côte, canton of Vaud. The exact village is the beekeeper's, printed on every label.

We do not believe in talent alone. We believe in what you do in the morning when no one is watching, in repetition, in the patience to start again. A hive works that way. So do we.
We believe you move forward by staying open: to what you do not know yet, to those who do things differently, to what arrives unannounced. This jar was born from one of those surprises. We chose to make something true of it.

The honey
The Gold Label (Label d'Or) is the quality seal of apisuisse, the federation of Swiss beekeepers, audited in French-speaking Switzerland by the Société Romande d'Apiculture. Its requirements go beyond Swiss federal food law.
On every jar, a gold seal closes the lid. It breaks on opening.
The beekeeper

ITU&ROD buys his entire harvest, at his price. The beekeeper's name and the jar number appear on every label.
Batch analysis
The batch number is printed on the back of the jar. The QR code leads here. We publish the analysis report of every batch before it goes on sale.

Nothing was planned. We recognised in each other the same way of getting up early, of not cheating, of preferring to do rather than to say. That is enough to start something.
This jar is what two people get when they decide to hold the same standard, without asking who leads. Here, nobody leads. We hold.
